In this week, we will introduce the Design Thinking Toolkit (published by IDEO) to help you conduct your first project. I’ll make the printed copies and guide you to plan your study on the class.


  1. Looking for references from the journal, thesis, and other resources,
  2. Read the Chapter 2~4, in Holtzblatt, K. (2005). Rapid contextual design: A how-to guide to key techniques for user-centered design. San Francisco, CA: Morgan Kaufman.
  3. Complete a pilot test with at least two of your friends.

  1. Show the reference you found.
  2. Present the result of your pilot study.
